Remnants of summer

Wreck beach, Vancouver

It was a wreck. The view was wrecked by the fog, as we gazed into the endless sea, wondering what awaits us from beyond the fog. Just one of the many other faces of the beach; in this case, it’s no-face. Summer has once again bid us goodbye as the leaves have started to graze the ground in their pruned discoloured forms: Red, orange, yellow and brown. The colour palette for Autumn and also the death palette for leaves. There is beauty in death, with autumn justifying some truth in that phrase. Autumn teaches us to slow down and take some time out of our hectic days to just admire the natural cycle of mother nature with seasons. Soon, winter will arrive and trees will stand naked and cold, awaiting for Spring, where they revive and usher their new layer of coating.
